A source-linked record of what's changing in the ad and GTM stack, for the people (and agents) who have to keep it running.
Why this exists
Ad platforms and GTM tools change constantly. API versions sunset, Conversions APIs gain and lose fields, consent rules tighten, and credit-based pricing shifts under your feet. The notices are spread across seven changelogs, version tables and help-center pages. AdStack Watch collects them in one place with dates, categories and the official link.
How the data is made
- Official sources only. Collectors read platform documentation, developer changelogs, version and sunset tables, retirement pages and vendor pricing pages.
- Every record is traceable. Each one has a stable ID, its source URL, the time it was fetched and when we first saw it.
- Extractive summaries. Summaries are the opening sentences of the official text, not our paraphrase.
- Heuristic categories. Labels like “Breaking” or “Tracking & signal loss” come from keyword rules to help you filter. Always check the source.
- Prices as displayed. Pricing pages are snapshotted and diffed. If a vendor doesn't publish prices, we say so.
Independence
AdStack Watch is an independent project and isn't affiliated with any platform or vendor listed. Sponsorships are labelled and never affect the data. See Sponsor.
Data licence
The compilation (record structure, IDs, categories, dates as normalised, and price history) is published under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). Please credit “AdStack Watch” with a link. The underlying source text, product names and trademarks belong to their owners and stay under their own terms. Short extracts are quoted for reference, and every record links to its official source.
Our crawler
Collectors identify themselves as AdStackWatchBot/1.0 (+https://adstackwatch.com/about/#bot). JS-rendered pages are fetched with headless Chrome, which carries the same token. They honour robots.txt, wait at least 5 seconds between requests to the same host, fetch each source page about once a day, and only read public pages. They never log in or get past access controls. If a page blocks us, it's recorded as skipped. To ask us to stop or slow down, email [email protected].
